Dear patient,
As most of you are already aware, during the recent COVID-19 lockdowns our clinics have remained open and running to provide urgent care to all our valued patients. We are now back operating at 100% capacity and able to perform our routine preventative procedures. We are taking extra precautions to ensure all our patients and staff are kept safe and this is our highest priority. We thank you all for your patience and understanding in allowing us to adapt to the current environment. At d-spa we will continue to stay at the forefront of dental services whilst maintaining the highest safety standards to our patients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Recent upgrades to all our clinics include the introduction of Swiss airflow cleaning machines. Air Polishing is a method of removing plaque and stains with the help of kinetic energy. Using a mix of air, powder and water teeth and soft tissues are effectively and gently cleaned. Most patients find this procedure quicker and more comfortable than traditional cleaning. Included in this newsletter is an article in more detail on what the airflow is and the benefits so please have a read if this is of any interest to you.
We have also introduced Zoom whitening system across all sites. Zoom is an effective, yet gentle blue LED light accelerated technology used to whiten teeth while reducing sensitivity and delivering enamel protection. Results thus far have been incredible and we will continue to give the gift of a healthy white smile for many years to come! The other upgrade we have implemented is digital Itero scanners. These scanners increase accuracy of treatment, reduce appointment times, minimize the need for taking tooth impressions and can be used in a variety of settings like Invisalign and crown and bridge work, apart from monitoring things like tooth wear and erosion. There is also an article written by one of our wonderful dentists, Dr Doug Mckinlay, included in this newsletter, for those interested in how he has incorporated this into his daily practice to improve the patient experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
